Booking conditions

The following conditions are applied to the reservations done through the site, welcome cars call-center, reservations done through mail ( e and trough business Partners.

The “prepaid System” it’s an irrevocable purchase proposal that the customer adopts in favour of welcome cars at the time of the booking. During the confirmation of the reservation, the customer undertakes to give a guarantee, by credit card, of the amount equal to the cost of the service reserved. The amount deposited will be taken off, at the signing of the rental contract. With the confirmation of the reservation, the customer confirms to have read and accepted the general and specific conditions of the rent al and to have understood all the rules, accepting to observe the obligation listed below.



The prepaid rate includes everything that’s showed on the booking confirmation sent by email; costs of  additional supplements, accessories requested at the time of the rent, or other additional costs chargeable to the customer, based on the general conditions are not included.  At the time of the booking you are guaranteed the category of the vehicle but not a specific model. Any special requests depend on the availability of the Lessor and cannot be automatically confirmed.



The amount due at the booking confirmation can be paid with Credit Card, Debit Card or Electron. The main driver must be in possession of a credit card in their own name when picking up the vehicle. The card must have the numbers in relief ; Debit cards are not accepted.  For some of the special groups of vehicles two credit cards  are requested.



The Welcome Cars station, as a guarantee of any additional cost and/or expense and/or deductible not included in the booking, will require the Credit Institute to block a sum as a variable security deposit depending on the chosen car group, and/or the purchase of one or more additional services: : €500,00 MCAR-MCMM-MTMR-EBMR-EDAR-EDMN-EDMN-CDMR; €700,00 IDAR-CWMR-CWAR-IXMR; €1000,00 IVMR-PVMR; €1500,00 PDAR; €2500,00 PXAR.

When the vehicle is returned, this amount will be released, net of any charges not included in the booking, such as missing fuel, any extra services purchased at the time of rental. The damage Excess (CDW)  and theft Excess  (TP)  change due to the car group chosen:

  • CDW €2000,00 TP €3000,00: CDMR-IDAR-CWMR-CWAR-IXMR- IVMR-PVMR;
  • CDW €3000,00 TP €5000,00: PDAR-PXAR.



The customer can modify the reservation through the Welcome cars call center (+39 0794130995) or through mail (   24 hour before the pick-up time, without  any charges . Any booking changes done with less notice will be applied a penalty of 50€. In the event that the Customer modifies important information about the reservation (car group booked, date / time of the pick-up/ delivery) the desk may not guarantee the availability of the car and / or the initially prepaid rate. If any modification  brings a higher price than the one previously paid  the Customer will have to pay the difference with a new payment If the balance is less, no refund will be due and the difference will be withheld as a penalty.



The Customer can cancel the reservation before the date / time of collection through the Call Center (+39 0794130995) or by Mail ( This implies a charge of € 25.00 as a penalty (€ 50, 00 if the cancellation is made in the 24 hours before the date and time of collection).


  1. NO –SHOW

If the customer does not show for the conclusion of the rental without having canceled the booking, he will be charged a penalty equal to the entire amount of the booking. In case of delay of the Customer, the car will be kept available up to a maximum of 59 minutes after the booking time. For bookings in airport offices, the flight number is required to maintain the availability of the car up to a maximum of 59 minutes after the flight landing time, and in any case no later than 00.00 in the morning. It should be noted that after the closing time of the offices an extra Out of Hours rate of € 50.00 + VAT is applied.



At the time of rental, the Customer must have a complete identity document, with the home address details, a valid driving license from at least one year and must show a credit card with numbers in relief, in his name, as a guarantee for the deposit.

Clients who are not residents in Italy will have to hold a valid international driving license or they will have to present a translation, readable in Latin characters, from an embassy or an equivalent authority; the photo must also be accompanied by an identity document legible in Latin characters, where the home address  is indicated. Please note that for some special car groups (such as special cars with automatic transmission, premium or minivan cars) the customer may be required to present a second credit card. The Customer is invited to consult the General Conditions and Rental Details to check the number of credit cards required for each type of vehicle. Welcome Cars can decide to to decline the rental if the guarantees offered by the Customer are not considered sufficient.

To be able to hire at the time of signing the contract, the Customer must be at least 19 years old and not over 75 years old. Drivers between the ages of 19 and 21 will be required to pay the additional charge of the “Young Driver” service and will be allowed to rent cars belonging to categories B, B1 and C. A similar additional charge will be required for drivers aged 22 and 24 years, who cannot in any case rent cars belonging to categories E / G / H. Group E / G / H requires a minimum rental age of 25, without the payment of any additional services. No reimbursement relating to the booking will be due and the amount paid will be retained as a penalty, in the event that the Customer does not meet the qualification requirements, including in particular:

– does not have a credit card in his name;

– provides an electronic credit card, a debit and / or rechargeable card or an ATM as a guarantee;

– the credit card does not have enough credit to cover the security deposit and the cost of any additional services;

– is not in possession of a driving license valid for at least one year;

– does not have a valid driving license for international use (for foreign citizens);

– has not turned 19 (minimum age for driving) or has booked a car group not allowed for “Young drivers”;

– turned 75 years old;

– refuses to provide data relating to its availability.

In the event that the Customer benefits for a less time than the one booked and prepaid, the unused days will not be refunded and will be retained as a penalty.

Although not expressly provided in this form, these are the General Conditions and Rental Details apply.
